Internship Overview
The Kansas Junior Livestock Show is seeking two talented college students who want to experience every aspect of show coverage - from content creation to capturing candids to live streaming. The ideal candidates for this opportunity are self-starters who are reliable, have a positive attitude and are willing to learn.
Main Responsibilities
Capture photos of KJLS events and candids of what's happening in the barns and show rings to share on Facebook.
Shoot, edit and post highlight videos at the end of each day.
Gather results after each show's conclusion for use on social media and in news releases.
Use existing Canva templates to create coordinated, themed graphics for Facebook that share results and other show information. Write copy to accompany each post.
Assist with live Facebook feeds for each championship drive.
Assist with other show communication efforts as needed.
Internship Details
Interns will be paid $250 each and have a hotel room provided for Friday and Saturday nights.
Duration: 3:00 p.m. Friday through conclusion of the show on Sunday.
